My first photo!

Hello everyone!

I am sorry that I dont have much to show you guys...I ran out of film too quickly so I have only two "okay" images to exhibit. Will do better next time when the chaos around here is gone. Bear with me. Here goes.

Love you all,

Rose

Impressed with your photos!!!

Hey everyone!
Wow....I have not been near the blog for a week and I checked it today to find it blooming with great photos!!! Congratulations girls! :) I am sorry that I am late on getting mine up here but just got home last night from spending four days at Christys watching kids! Before that Esther and I were in Ludington with ALL the kids for two days and before that we have been submerged in sporatic construction and watching kids here. The construction is getting really old now...they can be done at any time and that still wont be soon enough for me!!! All that is left is wall trimwork, the rest of the electrical lights and plugs and for them to get the hell out of here!! :0 We are almost there, almost there, almost there........ughhh!
I have NOT taken my sister trip photos in for developement yet but will rush them in tonight for the one hour job. Hope to have them posted soon. Then the next assignment is...what? I forget...sorry...but will be quicker to get those to the blog.
Hope everyone is well and happy. I miss you guys and love you devotedly!
Your sister,
Rose

4th and Final

3rd One

2nd One

First to get Julys Pictures posted!!!

I decided on what pictures I wanted to post for our picture club. This months theme was reflections. I liked these pictures the best out of the ones I took and they are posted in the order of which one I liked the most. I also decided that I wasn't going to modify mine in any way because the whole point is take a good picture, not make one.....with that said, I hope you enjoy them.

Third Annual Ludington Trip

Well Rose and her three rugrats and I and my three rugrats just completed our third annual Ludington Trip and, as usual, we had a great time. This year we went on a rafting trip and discovered that all the kids were great at it, able to paddle without a problem, including Livvie and Tate and now we are ready for whitewater. Well, maybe whitetipped.....! We had a leisurely ride down the river, though we made it in record time. We even stopped for picnic lunch and a swim, still making it fairly quickly. We only saw one other raft the whole day and we beat them to the dock, though we were behind them. It was a mad race and they had seven adults, but our brood stroked up a storm and we beat them fair and square. We swam in the pool and played on the water slide, slept in Sunday morning and then went to Lake Michigan so they could play Pirates of the Carribean on the sand dunes. Dairy Queen topped off the day and we headed home. Eight tired people, though I suspect Rose and I were way ahead in that category. Anyway, it was alot of fun and way too short for the kids, they love getting together like this. Will send a picture when one is developed. Love to all, Esther

I Made it Home, as Ingrid said.

Hi All,

Sorry I didn't write sooner and let you all know that I made it home. Had a very interesting time of it but by Elko I was a pro and the weather was clear but bumpy. Went up to 10500 and the air got smooth. Peter picked me up at the airport and boy was he happy to see me.

I had a wonderful trip and the best part was being with my sisters. That turned out to be a really GOOD trip with lots of talent being unleashed. We will have to do another in 6 months or maybe a year. Thank you for being you, guys, it was fab!

We are now down in Newport Beach and tomorrow we check out a boat that Peter is dying to own. Then I drive up to see FINTAN, YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. God I miss him and Ing.

Pictures of the sister trip are coming soon.

Love to everyone, Linda

Well, I made it to Answorth, Nebraska

HI All,

I finally left this morning and got as far as Answorth Nebraska. It is a VERY small town with a small airport. I am watching the weather and it looks like I may make it home tomorrow afternoon after all. I think in the future I will be flying across country more in August and Sept because those are better for weather, not so many thunderstorms. We had a great one two nights ago. A wower for me because we don't have them in Californina, not like that. Anyway, I just wanted to let all know that I am safe so far. Tomorrow will be a little more intesting because of all the fires out west and the smoke makes it hard to see. I will go up to 10500 so will not have to worry about hitting a mountain. I will write tomorrow when I get home.

Love to all, Linda

THE PEARLS ARE HOME, SAFE AND SOUND

Just saying this sisters weekend was fun doesn't describe it right......it was a WONDERFUL weekend of laughing, talking and bonding. We finished out the trip by going to breakfast at the Waffle House and then going back to the cute little town of Yellow Springs to do some brousing and picture taking. We have decided to start our own little camera club. Each month we will pick a new topic and all four of us will take our pictures of what the topic means to us, and we will be sharing our top picks with all of you. Now don't you feel so special!?! After checking out the shops and finding interesting things to photograph, we went back to the hotel for another of many chats and then said our goodbyes. This being my first sister trip, I have to say I have missed out on alot of fun times. I am hoping I will be able to make it to the rest of them. Enjoy the updates and stay tuned for the pictures. Love to all of you.....

Knit One, Pearl...............Four!!!!!

Well, this is day two of our first all four sister adventure and what fun we have had. We outfitted ourselves with tennis shoes, cameras and water and headed to the John Bryan State Park in Yellow Springs, Ohio for a day of picture taking and great conversation, no fights! We hiked along the Little Miami River on lush forest paths with 80 degree sunshine beating down on us. We got some great shots! We head back to Yellow Springs tomorrow morning for exploration of the cute little town and more photography. We have included another shot of the four of us doing what we do best, laughing and enjoying our time together. Stay tuned for more..........

Knit One, Pearl............Four!!!!!!

Well, its day two and we are having a wonderful time in Beavercreek, Ohio. After breakfast we loaded our camera and hiking gear, filled our water bottles and set out to explore the John Bryan State Park in Yellow Springs, Ohio. We hiked along the little Miami river, taking tons of pictures of the beautiful forest. We even saw a baby fawn hiding in the woods. Here is another pic of the pearl in action. Tomorrow we head back to Yellow Springs to explore the quaint little town and hopefully photograph some of its highlights. More tomorrow!

I AM STILL HERE!!!

I all,
Well, it wasn't the annuciator but a rotor in the altenator. They were looking for a new one yesterday and hope to have it all put back together today. God am I ready to leave Ogden, nice but BORING! They are not giving me a departure time so I wait. If I do get off today it will not be a long trip as the weather around Michigan is not looking good for later on so I will try and get as far as North Platte, Ks. Wednesdays weather looks much better and I will be in by 12oon. That of course depends on this one person. Well, I have never had a problem like this with the airplane, I have been very lucky. Does it deter me from wanting to keep flying? HELL NO! Shit happens, right? Well, talk soon.

The happy campers return!

Hi guys!
We got home from Muskegon this evening after three days of fun! The weather was wonderful with cool breezes and lots of sunshine...the water was fine too. Because of a storm out at sea (our inland sea) we had huge breakers rolling in making it hard to stay on your feet in the water but it couldnt keep us out of it. Was GREAT! We ate campfire apple pies, beef kebobs, brats and lots of good food plus the Mimosa's Christy and I had every evening. We had to keep them concealed as the park restricts booze of any kind. Its good really because there are many people who cant settle for just a couple of drinks and ruin it for everyone around them. We rode our bikes all over, swam and had a good time just being together. I am amazed at how quiet this huge campground is.....everyone did things with consideration for those around them. We slept till 9 am. and thought we were the first ones up! We plan to get the same sites next year as we were backed up to a running stream that the kids played on the whole time we were there. They loved it! We brought the munchkins home with us as it is now our turn to babysit. The other grandmother did the month of June. They are watching Scooby Doo right now...bed time soon.
Tomorrow the construction crew comes back to start putting in my new floor. Just wish we didnt have to go thru all this with the kids here. Oh well...will manage it.
Lin, I hope you get out of Ogden soon and get your butt out here!! Pleeeeease beeeee careful! Look forward to seeing you soon.
Hope you are all well.
I love you every one!
Love, Rose
Hellooooooooooooooo From Ogden!

Hi all,

Well, I am in Ogden for one more night. My altenator is being worked on as we speak and the battery is being charged. The machanic thinks it is not the altnator afterall but the annunciator. Either way, he thinks it may be finished today and I will be able to fly off tomorrow morning. Keep the fingers crossed. I will post tonight when I know more.

Love to all, Linda
OOOOOOOOOGDEN, UTAH

HI All,

Well, I made it as far as Ogden, Utah so far and now am sitting around waiting for my altenator to be fixed or a new one installed. This is part of the adventure that you hope never happens but when it does you just have to go with the flow. I think this is like boating, you never know when something will fail and how long you will have to wait for repairs to happen. I think in the future I will carry some spare parts. That way all I have to do is say," here, put a new one in". I will keep you updated!

OFF INTO THE WILD BLUE SKY TOMORROW!

HI All,

Well, tomorrow morning at 600am I will be leaving the ground for my flight to Ogden Utah and then to some small town for the night. The weather looks good to Ogden but gets a little dicy after that. It always looks worse then it turns out to be. I have a great weather identifier in the airplane and can keep pretty good tabs on the weather outside. I will try to get to Saginaw by around 4 or 5 pm on Monday but can't be certain. I know you all think I should climb onto a commercial flight and get there but YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH FUN MY WAY IS! If I didn't have such wussy sisters you would know the fun! I will update everyone as I go and will do it on this site. Wish me luck!

Just know that I love every one of you so much!!!

Ing, I will call you and email you.

The Annual Camp Outing!

Hi everyone!
Its that time of year again...BBQ's, swimming, camping, hiking, biking! Larry and I and the Holmes family are going camping at the big state park outside of Muskegon today. It is right on Lake Michigan in a beautiful, heavily wooded forest. We are packed and putting things together in the camper to leave here by 11:30 this morning. Will be gone until Monday afternoon whereupon my sister should have arrived from Calif. and having a cocktail with our Linwood sister. We have gone to this favored campground for two years now because the kids love it, it caters to family, no booze allowed and we can walk a short path to the Great Lake beach. I plan to do some campfire cooking, baked fresh bread yesterday at Esthers house (I still dont have an oven yet) and my camper is stocked with provisions. We will put the awning lights on when we get there, set up the grill and lawn chairs out and we are good for three days! It should be fun. Will write again after Linda goes back home and give you a progress report regarding our construction project. Hope everyone is happy and well. I think of you always. Love, Rose
